I'm a personable and conscientious British Technical Writer with over 20 years’ experience of designing and creating IT-related content and documentation.

My passion for IT started young, coupled with my logical mind and curiosity for how things worked.

I started my career as an IT Trainer and then moved across to Technical Authoring after a few years.
I love technical writing because I enjoy learning new technologies and then distilling my knowledge into succinct and practical information for end users, IT professionals and anyone else who may benefit.

I'd describe myself as a 'people person' and my role as a technical writer really benefits from this personality trait, because a large part of the role is gathering information from IT professionals and stakeholder management, which both involve communicating from people from all walks of life. 

I live in an idyllic part of North Yorkshire and enjoy being in nature, reading fiction, gardening and just living in the moment. There is nothing better than sitting on the grass and reading a good book in my opinion.
